Away We Go / Alexi Murdoch
In the same vein that Sondre Lerche served up the soundtrack for Dan In Real Life, Alexi Murdoch does for the
beautiful Away We Go with John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph. His record Time Without Consequence sounds good on or off the screen. I was really impressed with Away We Go and started a review the night I saw it. This was as far as I got. It's only playing in select theaters but is worth a mini-trip."My girlfriend Gina and I went to see Away We Go on Friday. It's only playing in select theaters, but the half-hour drive to Edgewater was worth it. Starring John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, the film follows two expectant parents as they attempt to find the ideal location to raise their child. Trying my best to communicate the movie without spoiling it at all, it's captured so beautifully and grain-of-salt-artfully that it's comfortable to watch, if that makes sense. Meaning that you share the same concerns and spotty optimism as their characters."
I know that's rather abrupt, but if you need reminding that there's more to all of our lives than your desk job and having macro-panics about the economy, this is the movie for you.
